Od kje vam te ideje?

V sredini oktobra sem se v Beogradu udeležil mednarodne konference Gaining A Digital Edge, kjer se že tretjo leto srečujemo aktivisti, novinarji in pravniki iz celega sveta in razpravljamo o problemih informacijske družbe.

Konferenca je idealno področje za srečanje dveh šol razmišljanja o informacijski družbi - optimistični zahod in realistični vzhod. Človek bi pomislil, da se sploh ne pogovarjamo o isti stvari, saj so poročanja o kriminalizaciji izražanja mnenj v kibernetskem prostoru, nadziranje in spremljanje digitalnih aktivistov in druge grozljivke iz vzhoda zares problematična.

Poleg zgodb pravniki in aktivisti z vzhoda svarijo - bojte se prelivanja idej. Velikokrat se namreč zgodi, da se ideja o nadzoru spletnega prostora pri sosedih preprosto prekopira z izgovorom: "Sledimo trendom razvoja v regiji."
