Dolgočasna nevarnost

Sliši se (oksi)moronsko, pa vendar se mi zdi, da se na področju varnosti in zasebnosti na svetovnem spletu zaradi pasivnosti akterjev premikamo v stanje dolgočasne nevarnosti. Dolgočasna nevarnost na področju zbirk osebnih podatkov na spletu, dolgočasna nevarnost na področju vdora v kibernetske sisteme, dolgočasna nevarnost osebne spletne zasebnosti.

Prakse namreč vedno znova dokazujejo, da se iz preteklih primerov ničesar ne naučimo oziroma da v najboljšem primeru pokrpamo točno tisto luknjo, zaradi katere smo tokrat utrpeli škodo. Da bi se problema lotili celostno oziroma da bi spremenili način razmišljanja, ki je pripeljal do tako hudih posledic - no, to ni tema debate.

Hkrati medijsko poročanje pomaga pri anastetiziranju javnega mnenja o teh zadevah. Bombardiranje z novicami o vedno novih vdorih, zlorabah in drugih oblikah kibernetskega kriminala pri javnosti utrjuje mišljenje - navaditi se je treba. Nič se ne da storiti.

Pri tem zanemarjamo vzroke za nastalo situacijo. Informacijsko družbo razumem kot plasti igre Tetris, kjer v vsaki vrstici "pozabimo" zapolniti eno luknjo in igramo naprej. Igra teče, hitrost je vedno večja, nevarnost pa se zaradi lukenj v vsaki vrstici samo še povečuje. Dokler igre ni konec.
